Liz Treacy is the Solicitor and Monitoring Officer for GMCA, having previously been the MO and city solicitor at Manchester City council where she worked for 28 years.
Liz Treacy has been a trustee of the We Love Manchester Emergency Fund and was instrumental in setting it up immediately after the Arena Bomb. Liz also set up the charity that assisted people immediately after the IRA bomb in Manchester in 1996.
During her time at MCC her main areas of legal practice have been in the community and personal services areas – adult social care, employment, health, education and schools. Liz has been very involved in GM devolution since the establishment of the CA in 2011 and moved full time to GMCA in 2018.
