Restaurants across Greater Manchester asked to sign up to StreetSmart
8 October 2021 in All, News.
Ahead of World Homeless Day on Sunday 10 October eateries across the city region are being asked to be part of the initiative.
For 23 years, hundreds of top restaurants help their local communities by taking part in StreetSmart – raising vital funds for homelessness causes.
During the months of November and December restaurants add a voluntary £1 to each table’s bill. Since 1998 over £10.5 million has been raised to help tackle homelessness.
StreetSmart is launching in Greater Manchester in partnership with eat.mcr and Greater Manchester Mayor’s Charity and restaurants and eateries across the city region are being encouraged to sign up.
100% of funds raised go towards local charities, centres and projects tackling homelessness as all admin costs are covered by StreetSmart’s partner LandAid.
A launch for the StreetSmart in Greater Manchester will be held at Firehouse Manchester on Thursday 21 October. If you are interested in attending or want to sign up to StreetSmart contact firstname.lastname@example.org
