Jacobs nominate Greater Manchester Mayor’s Charity as their ‘Charity of the Year’

Our rank of supporters swell as Jacobs’ Manchester office joins us in our collective mission to tackle homelessness and rough sleeping in the region.

As the numbers of households and children in temporary accommodation reach world-leading levels across the UK, support from the business community of Greater Manchester is more important than ever.

That is why we’re delighted to welcome the Manchester Office for Jacobs who have nominated us as their ‘Charity of the Year’.

Jacobs has more than 600 employees in Manchester providing a full spectrum of professional services including consulting, technical, scientific and project delivery to clients in sectors such as Advanced Manufacturing, Cities & Places, Energy & Power, Environment and other critical infrastructure.

As Charity of the Year for the Manchester office, we will work with the team to promote our fundraising events, advocate for our cause, and raise awareness of the importance of tackling homelessness and ending the need for rough sleeping.

We are delighted that our Manchester office has selected the Greater Manchester Mayor’s Charity as our office ‘Charity of the Year’. Homelessness and rough sleeping are hugely important and very visible issues in the city, touching so many lives. Our staff are looking forward to raising money to help the charity in its groundbreaking work to tackle these issues.
— Amy Bentley, Vice President and Executive Sponsor for the Manchester Office, Jacobs

Our Chief Exec, Fran Darlington-Pollock, visited the team earlier this year to share more about our work and the collective need to take action on homelessness.

The team in Manchester have already showcased their readiness to support our work to end homelessness. They want to understand the issue, and know just what they can do to bring about real change. The support of this 600 strong office will mean a lot over the next 12 months, we’re looking forward to seeing what they get up to
— Fran Darligton-Pollock, CEO, Greater Manchester Mayor's Charity
