350 guests from the North West’s business community will gather next month for our annual gala dinner, raising much-needed funds to combat homelessness in Greater Manchester. The money you raise will go towards our flagship scheme, the pioneering A Bed Every Night.

A Bed Every Night has helped reduce rough sleeping by 45% since it launched in 2018. It’s been the start of lifechanging journeys for countless people across the city-region, including Alex*

Alex’s Story

Alex, father to 6 children, spent more than 6 months rough sleeping in his car and sofa surfing after his relationship broke down. He had had enough. He wanted a job, stability, and a place to call home where he could welcome his family through the door.

After moving into A Bed Every Night, Alex’s story changed. Through 1:1 coaching, he was supported to build the foundational digital and technology skills he needed to help find anything from a job to a potential home. He had access to a laptop, help navigating the housing support systems, and was able to clear a previous debt with a landlord.

By December, not only had Alex secured full time work, but he also found a home and was able to move in just days before Christmas.

This would not have been possible without the support of A Bed Every Night.

Our gala dinner is about celebrating the charity’s successes and this year, we’re making the event bigger and better by uniting the best of Manchester’s businesses under one roof.
