Raise the Roof 2 Raised the Roof

January saw a return of Raise the Roof with a very special solo gig from The Courteeners’ own Liam Fray.

Liam played to a sold out O2 Ritz Manchester supported by the wonderful Rianne Downey. It was an incredible night with the crowd belting out every word as they celebrated the 15th anniversary of the now number 1 album, St Jude!

Liam Fray and The Courteeners donated proceeds from the ticket sales alongside album sales from the night to Greater Manchester Mayor’s Charity to support the flagship scheme, A Bed Every Night. We raised an incredible £25k which covers more than 800 nights accommodation for people who would otherwise face a night rough sleeping in the city region. A Bed Every Night is unrivalled in the UK, offering not only a bed, a warm welcome, and a hot meal, but also the wrap around support needed to help people move on into more stable accommodation.

We are blown away by the generosity of Liam, the band, SJM Concert and everyone involved in putting that night together, including everyone who bought tickets to come along. The funds raised really do make a difference. In Greater Manchester, we don’t walk on by.

Donate today and know that your money will help tackle homelessness across our city-region for a fairer and more sustainable future.
