Together help fund 1,000 Beds for Christmas

Three weeks we ago, Greater Manchester Mayor’s Charity launched its 1,000 Beds for Christmas campaign supported by Together.

Together generously committed to topping up donations made up to £20,000. This funding will help fund 1,000 night’s accommodation with wraparound support as part of the flagship A Bed Every Night scheme.

Fran, Head of Strategic Development (Greater Manchester Mayor’s Charity) said:

"We’re so pleased that Together came on board as our 1,000 Beds for Christmas Matched Funder. It’s meant that members of the public can donate knowing their impact goes even further. In the midst of a cost-of-living crisis hitting people hard, having the backing of Together gives us and all of our supporters the boost we need to fund 1,000 Beds for Christmas."

The recent cold snap has really brought it home how important the A Bed Every Night scheme is in working to ensure that no one has to sleep rough in Greater Manchester. All donations towards this campaign will go towards providing safe, warm accommodation, food and individual support to help people into longer-term solutions.

The additional support from Together this year means that all donations go even further. It’s no understatement that partnerships like these save lives. It is heartening to see Greater Manchester businesses step up to support vital causes and make our region a better place.

Holly, CSR Lead (Together) said:

"At Together we’re so proud to be able to support this Christmas campaign for such a worthy cause. Christmas is a difficult time for many and especially those with no secure home, so it’s important to us to be able to give back to our local community and the A Bed Every Night scheme is really at the heart of the Greater Manchester community."

Donate today and know that your money will help tackle homelessness across our city-region for a fairer and more sustainable future.
