Homelessness has no place in Greater Manchester.

Greater Manchester Mayor’s Charity raises vital funds to tackle homelessness and rough sleeping in Greater Manchester. Through our events, community fundraisers, individual givers and corporate partners, we raise urgently needed funds that make a meaningful change.

Our flagship initiative, A Bed Every Night, provides a bed and vital personal support for people facing a night on the streets of Greater Manchester. It’s more than just a place to sleep. It’s the start of a journey to stability and security, helping people get back on their feet and into a home of their own.

Our model is based on collaboration with other charity partners and organisations who are working to end homelessness.

We fund front line partners across our city region who provide a range of services to help people break the cycle of homelessness. Our funding encompasses emergency response and initiatives to help stop homelessness before it becomes a reality.

A Bed Every Night.

A Bed Every Night provides a bed and vital personal support for people who are rough sleeping or at imminent risk of rough sleeping.

Just £30 covers the cost of a good night’s sleep, a hot meal and the vital wrap around support that can help people move onto more stable accommodation. It’s a lifeline that changes lives.

So far, we’ve supported more than 3,000 people and have improved access to health and housing services. A Bed Every Night has helped reduce rough sleeping by 67% in four years.

With strong links to health and housing services, A Bed Every Night helps people get back on their feet and live independently. A Bed Every Night is a pioneering scheme, unique to Greater Manchester in its extent and coverage. Our funding means it can support people who may be excluded from other existing services, such as people not eligible for statutory accommodation or those who have No Recourse to Public Funds.

Together, we can end homelessness.

Everybody should have a safe, secure place to call home. Yet in this complex and unjust climate, there are many for whom this is simply out of reach. It isn't right. Not anywhere, but certainly not here.

We believe in the power of collaborative action and so we bring businesses, communities and people in our fundraising and advocacy to deliver real change. The funds we raise and the initiatives we champion support homelessness initiatives and good causes across the city region.

Together, we can end homelessness.

Our impact.

Since we launched in 2019, we have raised more than £4.1 million through collaborative partnerships, exciting events, and the generosity of Greater Manchester.

These funds have worked hard, translating into more than 70,100 nights of accommodation and wraparound support in the unrivalled emergency response initiative for rough sleeping – A Bed Every Night, and supporting over 167 organisations.

We will not stop until homelessness is rare, brief, and non-recurring. Together, we can end homelessness.
